Mainpat

It is plateau located in Surguja district and is famously known as “The Shimla of Chhattisgarh.” Well yes because it is one where the temperature decreases up to minus degree and is one of the coldest places in the state. This place is gifted with a Buddha temple, which is dedicated to Lord Buddha, where all rituals are performed in an authentic way. It is home to various hotspots and sightseeing points.



Chitrakote Waterfall

Chitrakote waterfall’s beauty will give you a soothing experience and refresh your mind and body. It is situated in Jagdalpur district of Chhattisgarh. Barnawapara

Barnawapara is one of the most visited wildlife sanctuaries in India. It is very famous place amongst wildlife enthusiast. It is the highly gifted area in terms of flora (semal, mahua, ber, and tendu) and fauna and covers an area of 245 sq km including plains, plateaus as well as hills up to 400m.  Talking about the wildlife you can spot a collection of unique animals and birds like bulbul, parrot, white-rumped vulture, peafowl; racket-tailed drongo, flying squirrel, jackal, four horned antelope, bison, sambhar, nilgai, wild boar, barking deer and many more. Kanger valley national park

Kanger valley awaits your presence with magnificent waterfalls and mysterious caves. It is located in Bastar district and was declared a national park in the year 1982. This place portrays an exceptional wonder of nature which is Bastar Myna. It is declared as the bird of the State.  You will be astounded by its human voice imitation and how well it mimics. Apart from this Kanger valley is known for Kutumsar, Kailas and Dandak caves which are near to it.



Achanakmar 

Achanakmar wildlife sanctuary is located at the Mungeli district of Chhattisgarh which was established 40 years ago. It is known as the living laboratory which is protected by the state and also international bodies. The wildlife family includes bison, hyena, wild dog, chinkara, antelope, Indian wild dog, sloth bear, deer etc.  And birds including peacock, kingfisher, white backed vulture, crane, eagle, pheasant etc.



Bhoramdeo
It is believed that where the soulful poetry comes alive in the architecture with an awestruck view then that place is called Bhoramdeo. The Bhoramdeo temple is surrounded by the Maikal mountains ranges and dense green forest in Nagar style. It is known as the “Khajuraho of Chhattisgarh.” This sculpted temple was created after the God of the Gond tribes i.e. Lord Bhoramdeo. An epitome of love this temple depicts 54 erotic sculptures on the outer walls. It was crafted with a lot of passion and worth a visit.



Udanti Sitanadi wildlife sanctuary

Established in the year 1985 udanti sitanadi wildlife sanctuary has an area of 232 sq km in the district Raipur. It derives its name from the river Udanti and is the most famous for its endangered wild buffalo which is a wild horn animal. The flora comprises of teak, sal, salai, bamboo, mahul, semal, mahua, tendu, harra etc. And the fauna includes of chital, leopard, four horned antelope, gaur, bison, cobra, deer, striped hyena, fox etc.



Rajim

Rajim is the holy place where the mind and the body blossoms amidst faith and purity. It is located near the amalgamation of three rivers Mahanadi, Pairi and Sounder. The major tourist attractions for tourists mainly include Mahashivratri festival for Lord Shiva. Temples like Rajivlochan temple, Rajeshwar temple, Danteshwar temple, Kuleshwar, Ramcharndra, Pancheshwar temple and many eye-catching ones.



Gangrel Dam

Located 75 km away from the capital city Raipur is the great Gangrel dam which is sourced from the river Mahanadi and originates in Sihawa. The height of the dam is 47 meter and generates 10kw of hydroelectric power. The other tourist attraction is Devi Maa Vindhyavasini temple and Maa angaar moti temple.



Jashpur

Jashpur is located at the northeast corner, adjoining borders of Odhisa and Jharkhand. The major attraction includes Kotebira Eb River, Rajpuri Waterfall, Kailash gufa (Cave), Danpuri Waterfall, Rani Dah waterfall, Bhringraj Waterfall, Cathedral (Mahagirja Ghar) Kunkuriwhich is Asia second largest church, Damera, Khuriarani Cave, Snake Park, Sograh Aghor Asram, Badalkhol Abhyaran Gullu waterfall, Churi Waterfall. A wide range of wild flowers valley is found here which is a major attraction.   


 

Kesh Kal Ghati

This famous Ghati is located Kondagaon district of Chhattisgarh. It has a scenic view and offers a spectacular view of the valley. Shiva linga temple is a pilgrimage centre is a gobraien.   



Tandula dam

 It is located 5 km away from Balod district which is a confluence of two rivers Tandula and Sukha Nala. This dam was completed in the year 1921 and stores the water of area 827 sq km.
